I am currently teaching Kindergarten for the Oldham-Ramona school. I have taught 1st grade in Arlington for 11 years as well as coached FB Cheerleading. I also taught 3rd grade in Arlington for 1 year and Title I reading (Emery, SD). I achieved National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist in 2006. I graduated from Dakota State University with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Learning Problems and Behaviors. My degree also includes endorsements for K-12 computer education, and assistant coaching.
I've had training in the Guided Reading Program, 6 + 1 Writing Traits, Advanced Reading Enhancement Approach (AREA), Boy's Town Training and Advanced TTL. I was privileged to be a facilitator for the Governor's New Teacher Academy at DSU for three years.
