Homework should be a FUN time, set aside each night, to increase knowledge and skills outside of class time.
Homework
time should be appropriate for the attention span of a first grade child
(child's age +1), for the average 6 year old, that's only 7 minutes!

*Please
note these are only suggestions,
do what works for your family!
*If your child has an assignment and you are unable to complete it that night,
don't worry! Just let me know and he/she can complete it
on a night that works for your family!

*I want the homework time at your house to be stress-free and an enjoyable time together for both you and your child.
*Please contact me if you feel your child is spending an extraordinary amount of time on homework. Your child may need extra help on something, or may not be using his or her class time effectively. I really want to know about any trouble you are having with homework, because I cannot help if I'm not aware of the problem.
